What is the most efficient way to comb through bank statements for expenses?

I have a few bank accounts to sort out for my accountant, 12 months worth. I tried quick books but it didn’t sort through everything really effectively. Is there a fast or efficient way to do this and what would you recommend? Thank you

Side note: I closed my business and am now W-2 so this is the last time I’ll be doing my own book-keeping
